8 Days Trip From Casablanca To Marrakech Via Fes to The Desert

Itinerary
Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
Departure after breakfast. The first stop will be the visit of the largest mosque in Africa, Hassan Segundo Mosque, its square minaret with green tiles that reaches 200 meters high is the second largest in the Islamic world, after Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It was designed by the French architect, Michel Pinseau, the same one who designed the Moroccan pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Seville. Then we go to Rabat, the capital of the country, visit the mausoleum of Hassan Segundo and Medina Lodaya old town, after lunch departure from Rabat to Chafchaouen. Day 2 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes – Fes
After breakfast at the Riad, our journey begins towards Volubilis, crossing the Rif mountains and a beautiful oak forest, we will stop in Volubilis to discover the Roman ruins and learn about the Moroccan history of BC, then we will drive to the city of Meknes. , founded in the 17th century, where we will stop for lunch.
In the afternoon we will visit the historical sites of the Medina, such as Bab el Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later we head to the city of Fez, where we will spend the night. Accommodation, hotel/riad/dinner.
Day 3: Fes - Fes
Commence the day at 8:00 a.m. with a delightful breakfast, followed by an immersive guided tour of the enchanting Fes medina. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, this sprawling walled city stands as one of the largest of its kind globally, tracing its origins back to 790 AD. Navigate the narrow streets teeming with vibrant shops, offering fresh produce, an array of spices, Berber carpets, and various Moroccan artistry. Explore key landmarks, including the Royal Palace, tanneries, potters, and the world's oldest university. Day 4: Fes – Ifran - Midelt - Merzouga Desert
Embark on the morning journey from Fes towards the Sahara, passing through the scenic Ifran National Park. Pause in Ifran to appreciate its beauty and capture memorable photos. Continue to Azrou to encounter Barbary apes in the cedar forest before reaching Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, traverse the Tizi N Telghomt pass (1907 meters altitude), marveling at the Ziz Gorges and the panoramic views of Ziz Valley. The route continues to Merzouga, where you'll prepare for a captivating camel ride into the dunes to witness the sunset. Experience a night in the desert with tented accommodation and dinner.
Day 5: Merzouga - Todgha Gorges - Dades Gorges
Early risers are rewarded with a spectacular sunrise in the Sahara. After breakfast, leisurely return on camelback to your hotel on the dune's edge. Appreciate the unique beauty of Erg Chebbi at dawn. Depart for Todra Gorges, a renowned destination for climbers. Explore the highest and narrowest gorges in western Morocco and stroll through the captivating Dades Valley.
Day 6: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Post-breakfast, embark on a journey through the Valley of Roses and the palm groves of Skoura. Explore the architecture of the Kasbahs nestled in the shade of palm trees. Pause in Ouarzazate to photograph the Taourirt Kasbah and film studios. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ksar Ait Ben Haddou for a guided tour and lunch. Resume your journey, crossing the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260 meters), reaching Marrakech in the afternoon.
